As your School Board Member for District 1, I have spent the last three and a half years focused on one goal: ensuring every student in Washington County has access to a high-quality education that prepares them for success in life, college, military service, or the workforce.

My commitment remains simple: put students first, support our teachers, engage our families, and prepare our schools for the future.

1. Academic Excellence and Student Achievement

Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. I will continue supporting policies and programs that strengthen reading, mathematics, career readiness, and student growth.

My focus is on:

  • Strong foundational reading and literacy skills
  • High academic expectations for all students
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Expanded opportunities for student success

2. Workforce Development and Career Pathways

The future of education extends beyond the classroom. Students should graduate with real opportunities and a clear path forward.

  • Expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities
  • Strengthen partnerships with Florida Panhandle Technical College
  • Support workforce certifications and industry credentials
  • Connect students with emerging industries and future careers
  • Grow initiatives such as Space Florida Academy and STEM opportunities
  • Our students deserve access to careers that may not even exist today.

3. Fiscal Responsibility and Accountability

Taxpayer dollars must be managed wisely and transparently.

I will continue to:

  • Protect taxpayer investments
  • Prioritize classroom needs
  • Support responsible budgeting practices
  • Ensure accountability for district resources
  • Seek innovative solutions that maximize efficiency
  • Every dollar should support student success.

I will continue advocating for:

My Commitment

Since being elected in 2022, I have never missed a School Board meeting, training conference, or professional development opportunity. I became a Certified Board Member within my first year and completed Advanced Certified Board Member training to better serve our students and taxpayers.

I am seeking re-election because the work is not finished. Washington County has made tremendous progress, and together we can continue moving our schools forward.

I will continue advocating for students, parents, teachers, and citizens while ensuring every decision is guided by what is best for children.
